【Paco Rabanne】66年、ブランド「パコラバンヌ」を設立して、超前衛的な手法でオートクチュールデビューを果す。特殊な素材を使用して服の基本となる「縫う」という行為を否定するかのようなデザインを発表した。彼は、針と糸ではなく、ペンチや接着剤を服作りに使用した。(まさに鎧のようなドレス) これは女性の社会進出、エクゼクティブ層への進出(女戦士)を象徴、冷笑するかのようなデザインで、世間をあっと言わせた。その後も紙を使用したものなど素材への探求を続ける。
